Created by Peter Kendall Clark at the start of the pandemic shut-down, SONGS FROM THE LEDGE grew organically from neighbors gathering to applaud the Front Line Workers at 7:00. Beginning on May 1st, 2020 Peter stood on the front wall of 145 Hicks Street for 100 consecutive nights singing to his (socially distanced) neighbors. Performer friends from Opera and Broadway also joined him on The Ledge, turning it into what became a weekly extravaganza of song that fans and the media know as SONGS FROM THE LEDGE. Birthdays from age 2 to 90 have been celebrated, holidays have been honored, and life has gone on during the Pandemic. With indoor venues becoming possible again, the fun has continued at the Brooklyn Public LIbrary and atThe Watermark of Brooklyn Heights in their downstairs theater which we call 21 BELOW.
